Celebrate the Difference Blog

This blog has been created following the last Celebrate the Difference conference in February 2010 to enable an on-going dialogue by students and staff between conferences.

It is hoped that ideas will be worked up, topics from previous conferences discussed and debated, and thoughts for future events trailed and consulted on.

Kicking-off the blog

Firstly, we appreciated the time and contributions from the excellent range of conference speakers, and the visiting students and teachers. Thank you all for making it such an informative, thought-provoking and enjoyable day.

We have been busy since the conference....

Young Enterprise (YE) has visited Bedales to talk through ideas for creating a socially-focussed business which we are keen to explore. We have an idea for introducing ethically sourced products into schools building on links with an impressive organisation in Egypt called Sekem.

Bedales held a Fairtrade fashion show on 22 February 2010 show to launch the Emma Watson clothing line with People Tree.

We are seeking contributions to this blog, so please add your thoughts.

And we are about to publish a short video of the conference....watch this space.
