The John Badley Foundation

Bedales was founded in 1893 by John H Badley to educate the ‘head, hand and heart’. Over the past 100 years, the school has evolved and developed – assisted by the generous support of Old Bedalians, parents and others – and the school’s founding principles and spirit still remain very much at its core.

The school seeks support in two important areas:

• John Badley Foundation bursaries - to broaden access to Bedales and Dunhurst for talented youngsters who otherwise could not afford it.
• Capital projects - to continuously improve facilities at the Bedales Schools
