Gifted & Talented

Our learning environment is a highly creative one, where each child is nurtured and encouraged to realise their potential. We want all children to develop enquiring minds and we are keen to develop philosophical and creative thinking throughout the school.

The high staff to pupil ratio means the needs of the able child can be met through carefully planned and differentiated provision. We aim to provide challenging opportunities for exceptionally able children, if possible, including those children whose talents may be in a specific area such as sport, music, art or drama.

We are aware of the need to support the able child not just academically but also socially and emotionally. We work in partnership with parents to ensure a child's time at Dunannie is both happy and fulfilling.
