Free entry (stalls charge individual fees)
Live music, arts and crafts, play areas, food stalls and more. Throughout the day, there will be workshops on writing, mindfulness and lots more. Food and refreshments will be on sale all day. The festival is an opportunity for us to share the wonderful surroundings at Bedales and our facilities with the local community, it is also an opportunity to fundraise for our charitable partners: Mencap, The Kings Arms and the John Badley Foundation. The festival forms part of Badley Weekend which commemorates the school’s founder, J. H. Badley, and focuses on the community and the needs of people living locally.
We are excited to welcome Forgotten Circus to the festival, performing immersive work throughout the day.
They thrive on merging all art forms, from music and set design, to acrobatics and theatre, to create unique multisensory environments. This year, to celebrate Bedales’ 125th anniversary, they will be developing an immersive performance piece with the students, to tell the story of the school itself through interactive and physical theatre, circus, costume and set design.
