Data Skills in Geography CPD at Bedales School

Bedales School is pleased to announce this CPD event, which is one of the launch events for the RGS-IBG’s Data Skills in Geography Programme (funded by the Nuffield Foundation). The CPD will aim to share how departments can better integrate contemporary data skills into their sixth form teaching.

Sessions
Using free and open source data analysis and mapping tools: Paul Turner, Head of Geography (Bedales)
Using QGIS to create choropleth maps and cartograms: Dr Adam Dennett, Lecturer in Urban Analytics (CASA, UCL)
Collecting primary data with FieldtripGB: Dr Jonathan Reades, Lecturer in Quantitative Human Geography (Kings College London)
Querying OpenStreetMap API: Dr James Millington, Lecturer in Physical & Quantitative Geography (Kings College London)
