Information for prep schools
Bedales offers a wide range of events throughout the year for prep schools including academic, musical and sporting events.
We are very happy to visit prep schools or to host schools here at Bedales for a variety of events. Examples of recent Bedales events organised for prep schools are listed below. Please do contact us if you are interested in any of the events listed here or in setting something up that is specific to your school. - Ad hoc visits and Outdoor Work - we are very happy to arrange ad hoc visits for prep schools and recently arranged a visit for Haslemere Prep School to Bedales Outdoor Work Department and The Roche School to Dunhurst’s Outdoor Work area. Both schools were treated to a variety of activities that make life at Bedales so special, such as making nettle tea or baking bread and even blacksmithing! (as pictured at the top of this web page).
- Prep Schools are also welcome to showcase their pupil's talents at Bedales. We recently welcomed The Dolphin School who brought their touring production of Macbeth to Dunhurst, Bedales Junior School. The cast of 20 performers recreated a brilliant 30 minute version of the play and enthralled Dunhurst's pupils. Considering the actors were drawn from years 6,7 & 8, they pulled off a stunning achievement using minimal props and dressed in combats. By way of reciprocation they are coming to see Dunhurst's production of Oliver!.
