"An appetite for knowledge, understanding, exploring and questioning."

Apart from your teaching role, what else do you get involved with at the school?

  • Organising the Civics programme – a programme of visiting speakers on all sorts of subjects.
  • Outdoor Work in the autumn and spring terms and cricket in the summer.
  • The Curriculum Policy Group – reviewing and recommending changes to the school curriculum.
  • Evening activities walking on the downs.
  • I am Head of Outreach, overseeing all links with the wider world from overseas projects to local community service.

In your opinion, what makes Bedales special?

"The open, honest and relaxed relationships between staff and students at all levels."

What is your best memory of Bedales?

"Seeing my own children perform in the Olivier Theatre.

Who or what inspires you?

"Great writing"
