Higher Education

Enabling students to achieve the best grades possible is only part of the important process of providing an education that will underpin future success. This is why Bedales has developed the Higher Education Liaison and Placement (HELP) programme for those students progressing to university. It ensures a co-ordinated approach covering higher education advice and the establishment of strong links at departmental level with individual universities to give the best possible support for our students.

Although we have always prided ourselves on the quality of advice given to students as they consider higher education choices, the increased level of competition for the top universities and the rapidly changing face of higher education necessitate a yet more co-ordinated and focused approach. The HELP initiative involves both boosting university liaison and ensuring there is always excellent co-ordination between the different elements that enable the best outcomes for students.

Keith Budge, Headmaster, Bedales Schools has visited a number of universities over the past couple of years, all of whom recognised Bedales for fostering creativity, inquisitiveness and an independence of mind that prepares students well for further education.
