How you can help

Work of Each For Weal Of All has been the cornerstone around which Bedales has evolved – everyone contributing towards a greater benefit. We really do mean it when we say ‘each donation really does make a difference’. And, to enable each donation to go that bit further, the School will match every £1 donated for the first 10 John Badley Foundation bursaries. The school will also add 75% of each contribution to the Sam Banks Memorial Pavilion (up to £45,000). When you add gift aid, which increases the value of your donation by 25%, your £100 could easily become £225. You can also claim back tax relief from the Inland Revenue.

To show you how any amount can help to transform the life of a young person, by giving them access to a Bedales education, we’ve got a few examples:

Regular Giving

To raise the equivalent of a day’s boarding at Bedales each year, in perpetuity (thorough the endowment fund), you would need to donate £13.70 per month over five years – and tick the Gift Aid box.

£10 per month donation for three years would raise funds for a year’s individual music lessons at Bedales every week including the hire of an instrument.

Five people making a commitment of £15 per month for three years would raise funds for one
term’s boarding at Dunhurst.
Six people donating £20 per month for three years would raise funds for one term’s boarding at Bedales.

As you can see, any amount does make a difference. We want the involvement of the entire Bedales community with this fundraising effort – if everyone gives an amount they can afford, the numbers soon add up.

Single Donations

If you would like to make a one-off gift to our appeals, you can do so here, at Justgiving.com. If you would rather send us a cheque, or CAF Voucher, it's just as easy to do that. Please download a donation form, and  make the cheque or voucher payable to Bedales Schools Development Trust and send it back to us at:

Bedales Schools Development Trust

A donation of £50 is equivalent to four individual dance lessons.

Six donations of £500 would fund one term boarding at Dunhurst.

A single donation of £1000 would fund one month boarding at Bedales

NB: All the amounts quoted include gift aid and a matched contribution by the school.

Direct support for a child:

Bedales is also seeking generous donors who might consider offering direct financial support for a student place, match funded with the school for the full period of education (eg. five years from 13+).

As a Thank you....

To recognise and show our appreciation, everyone who donates will be invited to a reception during the Badley Weekend and to a school music concert. We like saying thank you to those who support us. So, we’ve come up with some (we think ‘Bedalian’) ways to recognise those who make significant commitments to the school. View more information here.
