Animal Fun Run raises over £2,000 for charity

25/06/2010

Children at Dunannie, Bedales pre-prep school, recently raised £2,120 from their annual sponsored Fun Run. The funds have been divided between The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation and the Broadlands Group Riding for the Disabled.

Head of Dunannie, Jo Webbern, says:

‘It was a hot afternoon but this did not deter any of the children who raced round the track determined to raise as much as money as possible and to achieve their personal targets.’

The children were encouraged to dress up as an animal or animal character from a favourite book and teachers were delighted at the array of costumes.

The Fun Run took place during Book Week when Dunannie was transformed into a tented village where parents and teachers read stories to the children. Hampshire-based author, Helen Orme, also visited the school and ran writing workshops for the children.
