
Bedales and Dunhurst sports victories
Bedales girls and boys continued strong performances on the sports pitches this week, with the U14 girls’ hockey beating Portsmouth High 6-0 and the boys’ B team football beating KES Witley 4-2 to progress to the second round of the ISFA U16 shield competition. At the weekend the boys’ B football team beat Marlborough College 4-3, with Oscar Burns scoring a hat-trick and the U15 boys’ football beat Marlborough 3-2 with Raff Law scoring a hat-trick to claim victory.
Pupils at Bedales junior school, Dunhurst, secured several victories across the age groups in hockey, netball and football. In football, the U9 team won 4-0 against Frensham Heights and won 6-0 against Prebendal. The U10 team beat Prebendal 5-0 and the U11 team won 7-3 against Ditcham Park. The U13 boys’ football team scored a hat-trick of wins beating Frensham Heights 8-0, Seaford College 6-1 and Sherfield 5-2. They also came second in a tournament at Highfield school. In netball, the U10 team won 9-3 against Ditcham Park, the U11 team beat Mayville 3-1, the U13 team beat St. Swithuns 11-9 and Alton Convent 15-8. In girls’ hockey the U12 team won 5-1 against Lord Wandsworth and the U13 hockey team came third in a tournament at Highfield School.
