Bedales Students celebrate A Level Success on Results day
20/08/2010
Students at Bedales school are celebrating after receiving their A level results confirming University places that are particularly sought after this year.
Including AS levels, 37% of all grades were A or A* (with 13% being the new A*). 66% of all grades were A* or B.
Commenting on the students’ achievements, Keith Budge, Headmaster Bedales Schools said: “I am full of admiration for what these students have achieved. Their academic abilities and hard work have been rewarded with strong results. As a cohort they were the first to take our Bedales Assessed courses; in addition they have been extremely talented – especially in drama, music and art – and great fun to work with.”
Bedales also achieved top grades in the first year of the new extended project qualification with 14 A* grades and 4 A grades. Worth half an A level this course is regarded as an additional advantage for University entrance. Students take ownership of the course and independently manage the project with minimal input from tutors.
