Bedales to host talk on Higher Education with Jack Grimston, Sunday Times, at the ISS Show

Bedales is to host a talk on Higher Education, which will be chaired by Jack Grimston, education correspondent at The Sunday Times on Saturday 5 November, 10.15am in the Parent Theatre at The Independent Schools Show in Battersea.

Entitled 'The changing landscape of Higher Education: how independent schools can help universities, students and parents with all aspects of the HE journey.’ The talk will cover the following topics:

  • How HE is changing and what independent schools can do to help/ influence HE in coping with this different environment; opportunities for smoother continuity between school and university;
  • How to ensure students remain inquisitive independent learners and are not solely focused on exam passes;
  • Parental involvement - helping not hindering the transition to university

Open to the public, the talk will provide an opportunity to hear the views of representatives from the independent education and higher education sector, including Bedales Schools Headmaster Keith Budge, on the future of university education.
