Boarders Boarding in the Snow

07/12/2010

Bedales School continued teaching on Thursday last week, albeit with a slightly amended timetable, which included students assisting to clear the roads and pathways in the village of Steep as part of their ‘outdoor work’ activity.

Dunhurst, Bedales Junior School, was closed to Day pupils, but entertained boarders with supervised sledging on Thursday and Friday. School resumed on Saturday morning and its charity Christmas Fair ‘HOPIT’ (‘Helping Other People in Trouble’) still went ahead as planned despite the weather and managed to raise over £2000 for charities including the School’s project in Miraflor, Nicaragua to help children in the coffee-growing  region get an education.
