On Wednesday the sun shone on Dunhurst’s netball teams as they embarked on an afternoon of matches against Ditcham Park, Kingscourt and Churchers Junior School. Parents and teachers witnessed excellent efforts with 2 victories and only 1 lost game. The results were: U11 Netball Won 9-6 ; U12 Netball won 5-0 and U13 Lost 9-15 (after leading at half time).
Report on the U11 game against Ditcham Park, written by Dunhurst player Willow: On Wednesday the 6th October the U11’s went to Ditcham Park. In the first quarter we were losing 3-4, but we did some good passing and Molly shot some good goals. In the second quarter we did some pretty good interceptions and shot a few goals, but we were still losing 6-5. In the last quarter we really held our all and won 9-6 Cecily, Rosie and Rachel did some good defending and Pippa, Willow, Cressie, Molly and Toria did some good shooting and passing.
Commenting on the matches, Rachel Hearnshaw, Head of PE at Dunhurst said: “We were delighted with the efforts of the players and they were rewarded with some strong results. It was really good to see so many parents supporting them– Well done girls.”
