New Activity Stretches Pupils

07/06/2010

Pupils at Bedales junior school, Dunhurst, have discovered a new extra-curricular activity programme which is proving to be fun as well as intellectually stimulating.

Following the launch of ‘QI Junior’, Year 6 pupils and upwards can choose to attend the regular after-school sessions which are designed to stretch, stimulate and challenge. The programme is compiled by ‘Friends of Dunhurst’, the parent committee, and draws on their range of expertise and contacts. Recent topics have included an introduction to philosophy, bush craft, the Gobi Desert and the dark side of matter.

Head of Dunhurst, Penny Watkins, explains:

‘This is a fantastic initiative and we are very grateful that we have such talented parents willing to speak and allow themselves to be challenged by our pupils on a huge variety of subjects.’
