The U14 girls rounders team at Bedales School recently took part in the South East Hampshire rounder’s tournament, hosted by Bohunt School. The Bedales team won every match they played and took the title as overall winners.
Head of PE at Bedales, Sonia Cartwright says:
‘The team played brilliantly and batted superbly. They thoroughly deserve the title and I’m very proud of them.’
The Bedales team scored a total of 49 rounders and beat Bohunt, Mayville (Southsea), The Petersfield School, Portsmouth Grammar, St John’s (Southsea) and Wykeham House (Fareham) schools.
The District Athletics event was yet another success for Bedales. Over 50 pupils from Years 9 and 10 participated in the competition held at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth. The teams competed well across all the athletic disciplines: many school records were broken and nine pupils also qualified for the next round of inter-county matches.
