Royal wedding fever hits Bedales Schools

Wedding fever has hit Dunhurst (Bedales junior school) and Dunannie (Bedales pre-prep school) with the following activities planned for Friday:
Dunhurst
- A special timetable featuring ‘marriage maths’ and Royal Games
- Hat making and hat parade and a ‘Royal Handshake’ – a special twist on the school’s traditional handshaking ceremony between teachers and pupils that takes place at the end of every day
- A Royal themed picnic
Dunannie
- Children will be designing and creating their own wedding dresses
- Staff will be dressed in their wedding dresses (optional!)
- Everyone will enjoy a ‘street party’ lunch and a 3 tiered wedding cake
At Bedales senior school most of the students will be in exams but those who are not will have the option to watch the ceremony on a screen in the school’s quad.
