Start of term - update at 11 a.m. on Saturday

09/01/2010

Term for all three schools will resume on Monday 11 January.

Bedales and Dunhurst boarders
Bedales and Dunhurst boarders can return from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. today (Saturday) or Sunday.  Because of snow on the ground, the drop off points are the school reception areas.  If arriving on Saturday please alert housestaff in advance.  We will be offering help to transfer baggage and would appreciate if parents can drop off as swiftly as possible. Bedales and Dunhurst boarders arriving by train can be collected by minibus.  Please call housestaff to arrange transfer from the station.

Bedales Day students
For Bedales day students, we will be operating a normal school day on Monday starting with Notices at 8.25 a.m.  The drop off point is School Reception. For those day students travelling by train, we will be operating the minibus run to Petersfield station as usual.  The other school minibus routes will not be operating until further notice.  Please contact housestaff if you anticipate difficulties collecting day students.

Dunhurst (day pupils) and Dunannie
Given the likelihood of further adverse weather, Dunhurst and Dunannie will be operating a compressed teaching day from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. until further notice.  Pupils are of course, welcome to be dropped off from 8.30 a.m. as usual.  Collection will be at 4 p.m.  The drop off point for Dunhurst day pupils is School Reception and the Library for Dunannie. For those day pupils travelling by train, we will be operating the minibus run to Petersfield station as usual.  The other school minibus routes will not be operating until further notice.

The website will be updated by 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Bedales Gallery – ‘Bestiary’ by Alexander Jones

The private view scheduled for the evening of Friday 8 January 2010 has been postponed, due to the adverse weather conditions, and the opening of the exhibition may be delayed. We very much regret the circumstances which have compelled this decision and apologise for any consequent disappointment.

Please check the website over the weekend or early next week for up-dated information or call the Gallery on 01730 711 513, where a recorded message will provide a summary of the position if no one is available to take your call.
