Careers Advice for Students

07/05/2010

Students at Bedales Schools recently attended a Careers Fair to find out about opportunities in the fields of science, law, finance, IT, television, advertising and the arts.

The Fair took place in the school Memorial Library and guests included Old Bedalians, Hilary Weller (Meteorologist) and Clare Whalley (Documentary-Maker).  The photo shows Robert Hammond-Smith from the Royal Society of Chemistry speaking to a pupil.

Chemistry Teacher, Lindsey Barnes, said:

‘The Fair was a great success; the students really enjoyed talking to the guests and learning about the subjects in an informal atmosphere.’

The approach to learning at Bedales encourages students to be independent inquisitive thinkers, so the Careers Fair was an opportunity for students to think about potential future careers.
