Autumn comes to Dunannie
On a warm sunny afternoon Year One enjoyed exploring the orchard and hedgerows searching for signs of autumn. They came across an abundance of blackberries which they harvested. On their return to the classroom they tasted them and discussed how they could use them in cooking. They talked about how they could store them and agreed to freeze them. They are looking forward to making some blackberry and apple jam.

Ourselves
Our topic this term is Ourselves. We have been thinking about what is inside our bodies. We discussed what would happen to our bodies if we didn't have a skeleton. We looked at the different bones and their position, then we had fun making a skeleton using wooden blocks.
