Prep Schools enjoy Bedales Science Roadshow

Head of Physics, Toby Hardy and Head of Chemistry, Michael Newman, took to the road with their Five Senses presentation.  Toby and Michael visited Thomas’s School in both Battersea and Clapham with the presentation in front of up to 150 students from Years 5 to 8.  Starting with the brain and how it functions, students were taken, using practical demonstrations and hands-on practical work, through the world of the five senses.  Glasses that turned the world upside down and taste that only some of us can experience were just a few of the activities that the children enjoyed.

Tricia Pearce, Head of Upper School at Thomas’s, Battersea said, “Thank you so much to you… for all the preparation for last week’s presentation to our Upper School pupils and especially for the superb presentational skills in delivering such a wow factor lecture.  All the pupils came out of the Great Hall enthusing about the lecture and of course, clutching their goodie bags!  A triumph – thank you.  I would very much like to invite you back to Thomas’s, Battersea next year if I may?"
