Nursery

The Dunannie Nursery is located in a beautiful converted barn with light, airy spaces that allow for multi-purpose areas, role play and creative activities. Immediately outside the Nursery is a separate garden and a year-round play area. The Nursery is surrounded by an orchard, which has its own wooden play equipment as well as a newly installed Sound Garden. In addition, the children use the Dunannie school playground and sandpit, and have access to all the facilities at Bedales. The Nursery is led by an experienced Early Years teacher, Sharon Rose, together with two part-time qualified teachers and two full-time experienced Teaching Assistants. Nursery children are also taught by specialist teachers in French, music and PE.

You will find:

  • Individual care and attention to every child in a welcoming and creative environment
  • Highly qualified and motivated staff who will get to know and understand your child and make their first school steps ones of wonderment and awe
  • A wide range of child-led activities in a supportive, secure and nurturing environment
  • A varied and exciting curriculum in a stimulating atmosphere
  • An opportunity to mix with older children and experience a school environment
  • A school where parents are welcomed and encouraged to be part of the learning experience
  • Freshly prepared healthy snacks and meals, produced by our own catering team
