Have you undertaken any kind of further study since leaving Bedales and have you gained any further qualifications?
I graduated with a 1st class BSc degree in the History and Philosophy of Science from University College London and then gained a 1st class MSc in the History of Science and Medicine from Imperial College London.
What kind of work are you currently involved in, and how and why have you come to be doing it?
I'd like to be an academic or a science journalist or something of that nature and so I’m currently in the 2nd year of my PhD at Cambridge University, St Catharine's College, in the History and Philosophy of Science Department where I research attitudes to scientific genius in Great Britain in the period just after the Napoleonic Wars. I'm also interested in museum work and luckily the history project that I'm part of is connected to the National Maritime Museum.
Did attending Bedales help you in getting to where you are now and how satisfied are you with what you are doing?
Bedales gave me the confidence to try to push for what I wanted to achieve as well as a supportive group of long lasting friends.
Have you been involved in any other interesting activities or occupations since leaving school?
I am a keen runner and rower at university. I've continued my interest in art with life drawing and painting classes etc. over the years. I also like trekking - Everest Base Camp is the highest I've got!
