This is an online event.
Lockdown has impacted the way theatre is being made around the world, and we are no exception. The Spring Production is the result of our work through this challenging situation.
Machinal by Sophie Treadwell; a searing, political play. An expressionistic episodic tale of a young woman who represents all young women who feel misplaced, misunderstood. A young woman who is silenced but speaks up. A young woman who rebels. Released in nine episodes over nine days, our performance of Machinal reflects how this play remains poignant today.
This independent project has involved students rehearsing online, sourcing their own costumes and props with the assistance of the student production team and filming themselves in isolation.
'Machinal' episodes will be released every day for nine days, starting on Friday 28 May at 7.30pm.
All episodes will be available to watch until 12 June at 7.30pm.
