Double bill - Status (19.00-20.00), followed by Signals (20.30-21.30).

Status (19.00-20.00)

Status is a show about someone who doesn't want his any more.

A Fringe First-winning solo show from the multi award winning team that created Confirmation.

Status takes as its starting point the UK Prime Minister's assertion that “if you believe you are a citizen of the world, you are a citizen of nowhere”. Drawing on globe-spanning conversations about national identity, and incorporating songs as well as stories, Status is about running away from national identity, and whether that impulse - for those privileged enough to consider it – is a useful one, or a rejection of responsibility open only to the few.

Commissioned by Battersea Arts Centre, Warwick Arts Centre and Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg. Supported by the British Council, Goethe-Institut London and the Collaborative Touring Network.

Signals (20.30-21.30)

Alone on the night shift, two female data analysts monitor radio waves for signs of alien contact. Every shift is the same. But tonight is different. Tonight is the night they’ve been waiting for. The award-winning Footprint Theatre presents Signals, a show about human connection, space exploration and Jaffa Cakes. A new dark comedy that asks how it feels to be lost in the cosmos with only each other for company.

Shortlisted for Underbelly and New Diorama Untapped Award 2018.

Also available as a single show ticket, here.
