Pupils at Bedales Pre-prep, Dunannie raised over £1,200 for charity by taking part in the school’s annual Fun Run.

Children from Nursery to Year 3 dressed in ocean inspired costumes for the ‘Into the Deep Blue Sea’ themed event, where they ran laps of the school’s running track, in aid of The King’s Arms and Wish Upon A Star charities. Some children completed 50 laps of the track – equivalent to an impressive 10 kilometres.

As in previous years, children secured sponsorship ahead of the Fun Run and were cheered on by parents and staff on the day. The school’s parents’ association, Friends of Dunannie, also ran a cake stall to support the fundraising effort.

Head of Dunannie Victoria Homewood said: “The Dunannie Fun Run is one of the highlights in the school calendar and this year was no exception. We are delighted that so many children took part in the event and raised such an impressive amount for two worthy causes close to the hearts of the Dunannie community.”
