Bedales Prep, Dunhurst finished off a winning streak this term when the U11 football team won the six-a-side tournament hosted at the school earlier this month.

Over the course of the term, 97 matches were played, with wins recorded across a variety of sports.

The U13 girls' netball came second in their home netball tournament losing narrowly to St Swithuns. The U13 boys' football team remained solid throughout the season and performed consistently well against some tough opposition. Five pupils from Dunhurst have been selected for the ISFA development squad and two pupils selected for the reserves.

The U11 Sports Hall athletics team were runners up in their first ever athletics competition and in swimming, good results were secured across four galas, with one pupil winning every competition in the butterfly stroke.

Commenting on this term’s performance, Director of Sport, Spencer Leach said: “Extra training has really paid off with results speaking for themselves. We are continuing with our early morning swim sessions which have been well received and we are looking to develop this capacity in January. Hockey has been extended to run as an activity next-term as well as part of the curriculum so this will help with the pupils’ development. As we look to welcome in the New Year there is plenty to get excited about with the Winter Olympics, Commonwealth Games and the World Cup around the corner. We look forward with anticipation to the term ahead. “
