The third and final performance of the Bedales Rock Show 2025 will be professionally livestreamed on Friday 7 February.

The livestream will be available to watch online here from 6.30pm, with the show due to get underway at 7pm. A recording of the show will also be available to watch via the same link after the event.

A total of 89 Senior School students from Block 3 (Year 9) to 6.2 (Year 13) will take to the stage to perform 36 genre-spanning numbers in the last of this year’s three-night extravaganza – the 21st outing of this now legendary show.

From its humble beginnings as the ‘Dunhurst Guitar Concert’ and its breakthrough year as a fully-fledged rock show in the Bedales Olivier Theatre supported by The Who’s Pete Townshend, the Rock Show has been a Bedales institution for over two decades and has been livestreamed every year since 2021.

Over the years, the show has been the springboard for performers including Marika Hackman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Delilah Montagu, Minke, Abi Morris from The Last Dinner Party, WYNNE and Gabriel Bruce – and remains a remarkable demonstration of the extraordinary talent and versatility of Bedales students.

The opening night of this year’s Rock Show also marked the launch of the Rock Studio appeal, to support the full refurbishment of the creative space where countless songs have been written and unforgettable performances have taken shape.

The refurbishment will build on the Rock Studio’s legacy to give future students the opportunity to bring their own musical projects to life. The School has committed 60% of the costs of the structural work and is actively seeking donations to the John Badley Foundation to cover remaining costs. Head of Contemporary Music Neil Hornsby commented: “In previous years, the Rock Show livestream has reached viewers in four continents and in countries as far afield as Tanzania, Australia and the Far East. It’s incredible to bring the Bedales community together in this way, so please do join us for what promises to be an epic show.”

If you would like to support current and future Bedales students to build on the incredible legacy of the Rock Show, please consider supporting the School’s appeal to refurbish the Rock Studio by donating online. Thank you for your support - and enjoy the show!
