The U12 netball team from Dunhurst, Bedales Junior School, has finished an impressive sixth in the IAPS (The Independent Association of Prep Schools) National Finals. The top 14 teams in the UK qualified for the finals which were played at Roedean, West Sussex on 10 March.

The Dunhurst pupils, who have been coached by Debra Payne since Group 1 (year 4) when they were new to the game, scored victories in the finals against Holmewood House (5-4), Spratton Hall (8-6) and Hanford (9-5).

Jane Grubb, Head of Dunhurst commented:

“We are very proud of our U12 netball team. To be able to compete at this level with the best prep schools in the country is a huge achievement. The girls played extremely well and were fantastic ambassadors for Dunhurst. Their success is down to a combination of skill, strong commitment and hard work in pre-season and early morning training.”
