Dunhurst and Dunannie celebrated the refurbishment of its dining room by hosting parents and families at a launch event on 26 January. Head of Dunhurst, Colin Baty and Head of Dunannie, Jo Webbern, hosted the event which saw pupils from the two schools come together to cut the ribbon and mark the opening. Head of Catering, Karen Dunford, and Head Chef, Matt Potts, were also on hand to answer questions about the introduction of new menus.

The new dining hall has been named JB’s after the school’s founder, John Badley. The refurbishment ties in with Bedales’ 125th anniversary celebrations, which includes numerous events and activities over the next two terms.

Colin Baty commented: “The space has been transformed with a light and airy feel, new furniture, contemporary lighting and greenery along one wall. The children have been overwhelmingly positive about the change and the wonderful new atmosphere created in the dining room.”
