Return of the Bedales Summer Hockey Fest
The highly anticipated Bedales Summer Hockey Fest will return to the astro after the Easter holidays, bringing together 120 students from Block 3 through to 6.2 who have all chosen to sign up.
A highlight of the School calendar, the tournament will run every Thursday and Friday throughout the Summer term, with fierce competition and sportsmanship on display across all age groups. The tournament provides all participants the opportunity to learn from more experienced players, take on leadership roles and work with new players of varying ages and abilities.
With a record number of participants this year, teams will be eagerly competing for the chance to lift the coveted Bedales Hockey Trophy. This year, many teams will be aiming to dethrone the reigning champions, Team Stannah, who triumphed last year in a thrilling final. Alongside this players will also be competing to earn the Golden Stick award for most goals scored, whilst last years winner, Harry, will no doubt be looking to defend his title.
Due to the large number of participants this year we have 10 teams - all captained by our fantastic 6.2 (Year 13) Hockey players. They will participate in their pool games before heading into either cup or plate semi finals.
The Bedales Summer Hockey Fest promises to be a celebration of school spirit, skill and teamwork, with everyone eagerly waiting to see who will take home this year’s trophy.
The first game takes place at 3.15pm on Thursday 24 April.
