Year 3 children at Bedales Pre-prep, Dunannie in Steep had a visit to the school from a Viking last week, complete with armour, shields and weaponry.

Erik Erikson of The Longship Trading Company arrived in school dressed in Viking clothing and gave the children the chance to see and touch the collection of swords, spears, axes and helmets, as well as clothing such as animal hides.

The workshop introduced the children to the Vikings and their way of life.

Head of Dunannie, Jo Webbern said: "It was a fantastic day exploring the incredible collection of treasures which really brought Viking times to life".
