Every year the school community celebrates the educational principles of founder John Badley through an annual event.
Staff, students and parents from the three Bedales Schools participate in a range of events and celebrations – including working together on projects for the Badley Whole School Effort across the estate in the spirit of the school motto “Work of Each for Weal of All” where activities can include tree planting and lake dredging.
In 2018, the celebratory event took place over one day: the 'Badley Day'. Previously the event took place over a weekend (the 'Badley Weekend') with a Community Festival taking place on the Sunday.
The 2017 Bedales Community Festival raised £3,700 for beneficiaries: Mencap; the King’s Arms youth project in Petersfield; and the John Badley Foundation, which provides transformational opportunities for young people to benefit from a Bedales education. Read more.
