Art and Design Showcase
Art & Design Building
The 2023 Art and Design exhibition is the culmination of this year's work from Block 3 to 6.2 in a multi-disciplinary display of innovation, creativity and hard work. From detailed oil paintings to expert pottery as well as beautifully designed and crafted products and innovative fashion statements, this year's showcase is a celebration of the creative process and resilience.
Dance Performance (Blocks 3, 4 and 6.1)

Students in Blocks 3, 4 and 6.1 will perform pieces in front of a live audience.
LAMDA, RADA and Trinity Drop-in
11.15am - 12.30pm, New Drama Studio
Students involved in drama peripatetic lessons will be sharing some of their pieces in the New Drama Studio. Please come and enjoy work shared from the LAMDA, RADA and Trinity lessons the students have enjoyed this year.

Parents' Day Concert
12 - 1pm, Lupton Hall
Join our talented musicians in the Lupton Hall for their final performance of the year showcasing chamber music, music for choir and various small ensembles. Tickets will be available to book from 6pm on Friday 9 June.
Pop on the Orchard
1.15 - 2.30pm
A tradition that Bedales parents and students have both come to love on Parents' Day. Pop music will wash over the Orchard during this lunchtime hour.
Afternoon Tea with Jazz
4 - 5pm, Mem Pitch
With afternoon tea served from 3.30pm accompanied by live jazz, it's a wonderful way to round off a perfect day.
The JBF Merchandise Stall will be on hand so you can take something home to remind you of Bedales from our range of merchandise, including Emma Bridgewater pottery, tea towels, jigsaws and postcards. All proceeds will go to the John Badley Foundation.
2.30 - 4pm, Theatre
Our Lower School Show, performed by Blocks 3 and 4 students, is a highlight of the Summer Term for all involved, and a proud Parents’ Day offering. The shows are singularly vibrant every year and designed around the cohorts who all participate in dance and drama lessons in Block 3 and 4.
This year we present The Arsonists. A spate of vicious arson attacks are happening everywhere whilst the government stands by and refuses to take action. Is this an attack on decent, upstanding citizens? An affront to old fashioned conservative values or something much more sinister? While fires are raging, two homeless men ask for shelter in an attic of a cowardly, corrupt businessman. He won't throw them out, instead he rolls out the red carpet, even when they bring big drums of petrol in! The play is a crazy, ludicrous comedy that packs a hefty political punch and comes with a lesson in how we stand up to evil. Or don’t.

Pop over to the terrace of the Head's house for farewell drinks with Will and the 6.2 team. A chance to look back and celebrate.
Tennis finals

Throughout the Summer term, students have been competing in numerous intra-school tournaments with all the finals played this Parents' Day.
Dunhurst Sports Day
10.30am - 1pm
Dunhurst Sports Day will see the four houses compete across a morning of track and field events: a fantastic end to the school year. Join us and cheer everyone on.
Cricket
2 - 5pm, Mem Pitch
Cricket on Parents' Day will be a fiercely competitive event involving staff, students and parents, taking place on our picturesque Mem Pitch.
OB Reunions
Old Bedalian reunions will be happening throughout the day across the campus. The classes of 2013, 1998 and 1983 will be attending their 10, 25 and 40 year reunions respectively. We will also be welcoming the 1996 and 1995 cohorts who missed their scheduled reunions over the last three years. The school will provide refreshments. Please note the reunion lunches will start at 12 noon, for a sit down lunch at 12.30pm and ending at 2pm. The evening reunions will take place from 7-11.30pm.
OBs are invited to visit the main school site and reminisce during Parents' Day and OB tours of the boarding houses will be offered between 2-3pm on this day.
Open 10.30am - 3pm
Drop by the Outdoor Work barnyard this Parents' Day and get your hands on some freshly baked bread, made by students earlier that morning. You can also stock up on all the homemade produce in the shop, including blankets, scarves, sheepskins, marmalade, cider vinegar, cakes, chutney, eggs and sweet treats - but please come early to avoid disappointment. As always, all our profits are ploughed straight back into the school farm.
Light refreshments
Outdoor Work barnyard, 12 - 1.30pm
Visit Outdoor Work to try a Bedales sausage in a homemade roll or a pizza from our Pizza Shack. As the catering in Outdoor Work is relatively small scale, we recommend everyone also brings a picnic.
1 - 3pm, Science department
Visit the Science department for some hands-on experiments and try your hand at making bath bombs and rockets.
BPA Bar
Orchard
Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be sold by our team of BPA volunteers. A Pimm's in the Orchard is a must on Parents' Day! All proceeds will go to the John Badley Foundation.
Tea & coffee
Orchard
If you need a coffee after the Hamper Ball, a coffee van will be onsite from 10am onwards to purchase a tea or coffee.
JBF Merchandise Stall
4 - 5pm, Mem Pitch
The JBF Merchandise Stall will be available during Afternoon Tea with Jazz on the Mem Pitch, so you can take something home to remind you of Bedales from our range of merchandise, including Emma Bridgewater pottery, tea towels, jigsaws and postcards. All proceeds will go to the JBF.
