When children join the Nursery in September, we wish to gently introduce them to learning through many experiences and activities. We would therefore like the children to attend the Nursery as follows:

Pre-Nursery children (born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018)

Children can only join at the start of the Autumn Term or Spring Term. Children born from April 2018 can only join from September 2021, when they would be of Nursery age (i.e. they are not able to join in the Summer Term 2021).

For those joining in the Autumn term, the minimum number of sessions a child can attend is three mornings.

We would hope that this will increase by one session in both the Spring and Summer Term, so that they are attending five sessions a week in the Summer Term.

For those joining in the Spring Term, the minimum number of sessions a child can attend is three mornings, increasing by one session in the Summer Term to a total of four.

Nursery children (born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017)

In the Autumn Term, the minimum number of sessions a child can attend is four mornings.

For the Spring Term, we would like to increase the sessions by one, so that each child attends for five sessions. This includes one whole day with lunch provided.

In the Summer Term, we would like to increase the sessions by a further two, so that each child attends for seven sessions, including at least full days with lunch provided, so enabling the children to be ready for Reception in September.

If parents feel that this requirement is too much for their child, we can be flexible, although the fee commitment would stay the same. Your child is still entitled to attend for 10 sessions a week maximum, if you so wish.

The school day

The school day begins from 8.15am and the morning session finishes at 11.30am.

The afternoon session starts at 12.45pm until 3.30pm.

Children cannot stay for lunch unless they are attending in the afternoon.

From the term after a child turns three, the 15 hours of free education funded by the Government is only available in the afternoons for those children who attend school in the morning.

To be eligible for the full 15 hours free in a week, a child would need to be at the Nursery for at least four full days.
