The Bedales International Immersion Programme offers a carefully structured and fully integrated experience, combining a personalised academic timetable with specialist English support. Students join mainstream classes alongside their peers while developing both academic and social fluency, enabling confident participation across all areas of school life.
Students follow our academic and creative curriculum, engaging in subjects including English, mathematics, sciences and humanities, alongside areas such as fashion and product design, art, music, drama and outdoor work (including animal husbandry, cooking and horticulture). Students experience both the depth and breadth of the curriculum within a stimulating and varied environment.
Targeted English tuition supports the development of both academic and social language, enabling students to access subject content fully and contribute with increasing confidence. Students develop confidence and accuracy in both written and spoken English. At 16+, students may have the opportunity to prepare for and sit IELTS, where appropriate.

Students are fully integrated into boarding life, where house parents and tutors provide consistent support and guidance. A strong pastoral framework ensures that each student feels welcomed, settled and valued, with close attention to individual wellbeing and development.
Students leave the programme with increased confidence in English, a clear understanding of the British academic system, and the ability to participate fully and independently in an English-speaking school environment. Many students also develop lasting friendships and connections beyond their time at the school.
A wide range of sporting and co-curricular opportunities forms an integral part of the programme. Students may take part in traditional English sports such as rugby, football, cricket, tennis and hockey, alongside activities including basketball, badminton and fitness
training. The school’s extensive playing fields, pitches and courts, together with on-site gym and swimming pool facilities, provide excellent access to sport.
Students also have access to a wide range of optional activities, including cooking, jewellery making, martial arts, fencing and golf. A varied programme of evening and weekend activities further enriches the experience, offering opportunities for recreation, skill development and social engagement.
Students may also choose to receive one to one tuition from specialist teachers across a wide range of musical instruments, classical and contemporary dance, drama and tennis.
Learning extends beyond the classroom through visits to cities and historical sites, as well as cultural and recreational experiences such as theatre trips, cinema visits and other organised outings.
