This summer, our Block 3 and 4 students present a performance of The Witchfinder’s Daughter. This is an original production, inspired by the harrowing true stories of the 17th century witch trials and the notorious witchfinder general, Matthew Hopkins. Set amidst a time of fear and superstition, this gripping and emotive play explores the tragic consequences of suspicion, ignorance and power.
Through evocative storytelling, the production captures the stories of ordinary and brilliant women whose lives were destroyed by false accusations and brutal persecution. The Witchfinder’s Daughter offers an immersive and deeply moving theatrical experience. The audience is drawn into a world where innocence is questioned and courage shines through, even in the darkest of times.
This promises to be a creative celebration of the enduring human spirit.
