International admissions

Global learning, creative
living and community

We offer a globally-minded education with tailored EAL support, creative exploration and real-world learning. Inclusive boarding, vibrant weekends and strong academic foundations prepare students for top universities and fulfilling futures.

Globally-minded, creatively driven

With tailored EAL (English as an Additional Language) support, Bedales offers a world-class education, culminating in Bedales Assessed Courses and A Levels, blending British and international-informed approaches. Individuality is nurtured through academic rigour, creative exploration and deep critical thinking.

Boarding that builds community

Our nurturing approach to boarding starts at Bedales Prep from age 11 and, by the time they reach the Sixth Form, over three-quarters of our students are boarders. Our inclusive approach creates a safe, respectful community where students thrive and lifelong friendships flourish.

Weekend vibrancy and expression

From museum visits to beach walks, weekends are vibrant and engaging. Students explore their passions – practising musical instruments and creating products and textiles – gaining inspiration and expressing creativity beyond the classroom. There is ample opportunity to be active in the outdoors in our stunning rural setting (which includes our own farm).

Welcoming international students
We understand that joining Bedales from overseas is a big decision and commitment

Our Admissions team is on hand to provide tailored advice and support to families thinking of joining Bedales from overseas. We encourage all prospective families to visit Bedales, with our staff also undertaking international visits to meet prospective and current families in-country.

Bedales works with accredited education agents and is licenced by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) to sponsor students to study in the UK. We can assist families with all the necessary documentation and can advise on appropriate guardianship. Scholarships are available to recognise particular talents and potential, and are awarded based on merit. Means-tested bursaries are normally restricted to UK-based applicants. After joining, students receive EAL (English as an Additional Language) assistance as needed, which helps students to integrate quickly into their academic subjects and broader school life.

You have space to express your individual style and creativity.

Old Bedalians stay connected to the school through our alumni office and a full programme of communications and activities, including regular reunions and other gatherings. We are also fortunate that so many Old Bedalians are keen to give back and provide inspiration to current students.
