Girls' U15 Netball v Prior's Field

The second game in a row for the U15s, but this time we came with a huge squad of 12 players! It was great to see Francesca and Kiki join the team this week, with it being Kiki’s first ever netball match as Wing Defence, which she played brilliantly.

It was an extremely close game throughout, with a 1-1 score at the end of the first quarter. The score started to pick up and Bedales ended up pulling away by two goals in the second quarter and kept this lead at the end of the third.

We were dealing well with the constant changes to positions that come with a big squad of 12, and by the fourth quarter had settled into the game - but so had Prior’s Field. The final quarter was extremely exciting with both teams playing extremely well. However, Bedales managed to keep their two-goal lead and finished the final quarter with a 10-8 win!

Most Valuable Players (MVPs) selected by Prior’s Field were Paloma for her performance as Goal Defence and Isis for Goal Attack.

Girls' U15 Netball v The Royal

An extremely competitive match from start to finish, with only one goal separating Bedales from The Royal all the way up until the final quarter.

We had a brilliant defensive unit with Giselle, Lucy, Jojo and Marlene taking turns at different positions and making lots of turnovers. The defensive backlines were strong, with the players moving the ball into the attacking half of the court quickly, ensuring a smooth transition into the attacking third.

A strong shooting performance from Amelie and Isis, making the most of the shots from the outer edge of the D, which was pretty impressive! Amelie held the space well in the circle against a strong defender, and Isis was able to work well with Daisy and Paloma to move the ball around the circle to get into position against a strong Goal Defence.

In the final quarter, Bedales were able to pull away with a five-goal win, bringing the final score to 18-13. MVPs selected by The Royal were Paloma for her dynamic performance and Jojo for all the turnovers she made as a defender.
