The Dance, Drama and Music Departments across Bedales Senior and Prep have been workshopping material for a brand-new musical Rick. Simon May, Ivor Novello award winning composer of Eastenders, created his first musical Smike 50 years ago, which was made into a BBC production and has been performed in schools worldwide since. He has now written Rick and the creative collaboration with Bedales has involved students and staff which will culminate in a production open to the school and wider community, and which will showcase the material to agents, theatres and other schools.
